Write for the decision, not the word count
A prospective customer might need to understand suitability, compare options or find out what happens next. Useful content addresses those questions. Length is a consequence of the explanation, not the objective.
We begin with the purpose of the page and the searcher’s likely intent. A commercial service page and an educational guide need different structures, even when they discuss the same topic.
Improve what is already there
Existing pages may contain valuable information that is difficult to find or poorly organised. Clear headings, a direct introduction and a logical sequence can make the content easier to use.
We can also improve page titles, descriptions and relevant internal links. Established URLs should be preserved unless there is a deliberate reason and an agreed plan to change them.
Create supporting content where it helps
A guide earns its place when it answers a relevant question and connects naturally to a service. Useful subjects include comparisons, process explanations, suitability and common customer concerns.
Topical authority means developing a coherent body of useful information around your actual expertise. It is not a reason to publish large volumes of loosely related articles.
Make information easy to interpret
- Use descriptive headings and one clear main topic.
- Explain unfamiliar terminology.
- Give concise answers before supporting detail.
- Include tables only when comparison becomes clearer.
- Link to the next useful page using meaningful wording.
- Use factual, appropriate structured data.
Business expertise still matters
Accurate content needs accurate input. We may need your service details, limitations or subject knowledge. We do not invent claims, qualifications, case studies or testimonials to fill a section.

Questions, answered.
Is blogging compulsory?
No. Blog content is useful when it addresses a genuine need. Improving a service page may be the more commercially valuable priority.
How many words should a page contain?
Enough to answer the relevant question properly. There is no universal word-count target that guarantees performance.
Will you change my existing URLs?
Established URLs should normally be preserved. Any necessary structural change needs a deliberate plan, including redirects where appropriate.
